PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner, safe and easy in repairing a power plate part, without intrusion of water into the power plate part. SOLUTION: This air conditioner has: a body 18 having the contour 18a composed of right and left side plates 5, a rear plate 8, a bottom plate 7 and a top plate 4, and a suction grille 3 and a blowout grille 1 installed on a front face; a heat exchanger (not shown) arranged in a wind circuit (not shown) for communicating the suction grille 3 with the blowout grille 1; a fan 11 blowing off air of exchanging heat by the heat exchanger from the blowout grille 1; and the power plate part 13 for controlling a motor 10 for driving the fan 11. The power plate part 13 is stored in the bottom plate 7, and is isolated from the wind circuit, and suction resistance in the wind circuit is reduced, and a performance of the wind circuit is improved. Even if a condensate leaks from a water pan (not shown), its condensate does not enter the power plate part 13, and the power plate part 13 is pulled out and repaired without removing the suction grille 3.
