PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving security while simplifying the setting when setting communication using a portable storage medium. SOLUTION: The portable storage medium stores information including communication setting information required for performing communication and permission device identification information indicating the identification information of an apparatus for permitting the communication. The communication device confirms whether or not the permission device identification information stored in the portable storage medium matches with the identification information of the present device when setting the communication, and when the match of the identification information is confirmed, the communication is set on the basis of the communication setting information stored in the portable storage medium.
