PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool hard to have an electric corrosion in a control circuit and easily manufacturable. SOLUTION: This power tool 1 includes: its body; and a battery pack 20 detachably attached to the lower section of the body. The body of the power tool 1 includes: a motor 2 serving as a power source; a drive part 3, a trigger switch 4; a main switch 5 for turning ON/OFF the power supply of the motor 2; and a circuit part 10 having a control circuit for controlling the supply of the power to the motor 2. The circuit part 10 includes two substrates, i.e., a first substrate 6 and a second substrate 7 which are separated from each other and connected to each other through a first lead 11. The first substrate 6 is installed in a case 6a, and disposed in a grip part 110 together with the case 6a. The second substrate 7 having a communication connector 8 connected to a battery pack 20 is disposed under the grip part 110. Even if water is collected to the underside of the grip part 110, the control circuit on the first substrate 6 is not electrically corroded. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
