PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comfortable elastic knitted fabric having a reduced weight and excellent moisture retaining property in spite of having a dry touch. SOLUTION: The elastic knitted fabric is a fabric formed of a knitted fabric having stretchability using an inelastic fiber yarn and an elastic fiber yarn. The inelastic fiber is a polyamide fiber which has a single fiber having a tri-lobal cross-section having a modification degree not less than 2.5, and has a total fineness not more than 44 dtex. The elastic knitted fabric has a water retention rate not less than 35%, a ratio of basis weight (g/m<SP>2</SP>) to thickness (mm) not more than 200 (g/m<SP>2</SP>/mm), and a difference in contact warm-cold sensitivity between a dry state and a wet state of not more than 0.55 W/cm<SP>2</SP>.
