PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a hot dip galvanized article excellent in primary rust prevention performance, which includes a reduced number of treatment steps and takes the place of a chromate treatment. SOLUTION: In the production method of the hot-dip galvanized article, a workpiece is immersed into a hot-dip galvanizing bath, and then the workpiece is raised from the hot-dip galvanizing bath, and the hot-dip galvanized article is obtained by cooling the workpiece whose surface is in an active state by dipping it into a cooling water containing a silane coupling agent.
