PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for an electric fence, light in weight, excellent in strength, requiring no insulator-attaching work, capable of easily extending electric wires in parallel, capable of suppressing risk of damaging a hook part as much as possible in arranging, capable of preventing rotation of the support, capable of easily arranging even a long support, and capable of preventing aged deterioration caused by ultraviolet rays or the like as much as possible. SOLUTION: The core is formed with an inner layer comprising a glass fiber-reinforced resin. A tapered tip end part 14 formed of a cemented resin and a disc-like base end part 15 formed of a cemented resin are attached on the both ends of the core. The core, the tip end part and the base end part are covered with a surface layer comprising a thermoplastic resin and having hook parts 11. The base end part is expanded like an arc to the hook part set side. Plural convex lines 13 are formed along the longitudinal direction of a support body 10. A circular convex part 12 regulating burying positions is formed on the support body. A weather resisting agent is added to the surface layer.
