<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium battery which is superior in productivity with a high capacitance, while using a solid electrolyte, and of which the performance is less apt to deteriorate, accompanying charging and discharging. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium battery is equipped with a positive electrode layer 13, a negative electrode layer 14, and a sulfide solid electrolyte layer (SE layer 15), which is via the conduction of lithium ions between both these layers. This battery 1 is equipped, between the positive electrode layer 13 and the SE layer 15, with a buffer layer 16 for buffering deviation of lithium ions in the vicinity of the interface of these both layers, and the density of the positive electrode layer 13 is 70 to 90% of the theoretical density. By installing the buffer layer 16 between the positive layer 13 and the SE layer 15, formation of a depletion layer in the SE layer 15 can be suppressed. Moreover, due to the density of the positive layer 13 being 70 to 90% of the theoretical density, the positive electrode layer 13 itself is made to absorb changes in the volume of the positive electrode layer 13, accompanying the charge and discharge of the battery 1; the positive electrode layer 13 is suppressed from being damaged; and then the battery performance can be suppressed from deterioration, accompanying charging and discharging. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
