摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-electrode submerged arc welding method of steel materials, a method suitable for pipe-making welding of large diameter steel pipes such as UOE steel pipes and spiral steel pipes having a plate thickness of a base material of 10-50 mm. SOLUTION: In performing submerged arc welding of steel materials with multi-electrode of 3 electrodes or more, a DC power source is used for feeding electricity to a first electrode, wherein welding by the first electrode is performed with a current density≥250 A/mm<SP>2</SP>, desirably with a wire diameter 3.2 mm and a welding current≥1,000 A, wherein welding by the second electrode is performed with a current density≥150 A/mm<SP>2</SP>and desirably with a welding current≥600 A, and wherein the inter-electrode distance is≥23 mm for one at the steel material surface position and≤20 mm for the remainder.
