摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection mechanism for easily and accurately detecting the wear status of a projecting part of a rotating body such as a tire having irregularity on its surface. SOLUTION: This wear status detection mechanism 1 includes an electric circuit having a detection section 10 embedded in a tread groove 101 of the tire 100, and a processing section 20 for performing determining processing of the wear status of the projecting part 102 using the detection section 10. The detection section 10 detects the wear status with a fact that its embedded part wears to come into contact with a road or the like to break. The processing section 20 has a determining section for determining the wear status of the projecting part with a fact that the detection section 10 breaks to vary the conducting status of the electric circuit, and a transmitting section for transmitting the determination result (wear status information) to a receiving section 31 of an external device capable of displaying it.
