PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyer capable of reducing changes of braking force even when water intrudes to it. SOLUTION: The passenger conveyer 1 is provided with a footstep sprocket 70 rotated by driving force from a driving device 60 and circulating a plurality of the footsteps 30 endlessly coupled. The passenger conveyer 1 is provided with a brake disk 80 rotating coaxially with the footstep sprocket 70, a brake shoe 91 actuating under predetermined conditions to frictionally stop the brake disk 80, and a drip-proof cover 110 covering at least an upper part of the brake disk 80.
