PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a member using silicon carbide at a low cost. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a member using silicon carbide, an SiC member preparation process (S10), where one member in which at least the surface layer is composed of silicon carbide is prepared, is performed, and another member preparation process (S20), where another member composed of a material having a melting point equal to or higher than that of silicon is prepared, is performed, and an adhesion process (S40) where, in a state where one member and the other member are brought into contact with each other via a layer consisting essentially of silicon, heating is performed to a temperature equal to or above that of silicon, in order to adhere one member and the another member.
