PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap remover for a microtube for drug discovery which quickly removes a cap closing the opening of a plurality of microtubes stored in a storage rack in parallel without contaminating and spilling enclosed contents. SOLUTION: A picking rod 110 fitted to a recess formed in the cap top of a microtube for drug discovery is tilted by a tilting member 150 for removing the cap from the microtube. A picking rod holder 120 is moved in the axial direction of the picking rod 110 by a vertical moving actuator 130 and the cap fitted at the tip end of the picking rod 110 is pulled down by a comb-teeth fitting 140 to be stored in a cap box.
