PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold and hot water supplying apparatus which suppresses convection current either on the cold water side or on the hot water side of the side to a water bottle, and prevents leakage of water from being generated caused by erroneous operation, relating to the cold and hot water supplying apparatus for supplying water by cooling or heating. SOLUTION: The cold and hot water supplying apparatus (2) supplies cold water or hot water by cooling or heating the water supplied from a bottle (a gallon bottle 6). The apparatus (2) includes a cold water tank (8) for storing cold water, a hot water tank (40) for storing hot water, a supply pipe (a water supply pipe) connected with the cold water tank and the hot water tank, and supplying the water of the bottle or/and the cold water of the cold water tank to the hot water tank, and a convection current suppressing unit (a separator float 12) which opens and closes an water outlet part (14) in accordance with the water level of the cold water tank and suppresses the convection current of the cold water or the hot water to the bottle.
