PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out efficiently connection work of a driving shaft to a shaft of a drum by a single operation, and to enhance work efficiency of drum replacement action. SOLUTION: In this connection device, the center shaft 1 has a flange 3 in its one end, the driving shaft 2 has a piston 5 provided in an outer circumferential part and slidably along an axial direction, a flange 9 formed in an outer circumference of the piston, a locking frame 10 provided in an outer circumference of the flange 9 and for connecting the flange 9 to the flange 3, and a belleville spring 15 for energizing the piston 5 laterally to slide it, the flange 3 is stored into the locking frame 10 as shown in Fig., under the condition where the piston 5 is moved to a left side with air pressure by an air supply means (not shown in Fig.), the locking frame 10 is locked to the flange 3, the piston 5 is slid to a right side by an energizing force of the belleville spring 15, a tip part of a small-diameter part 2b of the driving shaft 2 is joined (pressure-contact) to an abutting face 1c of a large-diameter part 1b of the center shaft 1, and the center shaft 1 is connected firmly to the driving shaft 2.
