The present invention pertains to vaccine compositions comprising an immune stimulating complex which is associated with a carrier protein A, saccharide antigens attached to a carrier protein B, and an aluminium containing adjuvant. The immune stimulating complex comprises saponins and sterols and is capable of binding a nucleic acid. The immune stimulating complex may further comprise a lipophilic moiety. The vaccine compositions are capable of inducing an immune response to the saccharide antigen and/or carrier protein A. The present invention furthermore relates to uses of such vaccines in treatment of infections, preferably in the prophylactic treatment of infections.
