<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airtight-type electric motor capable of reducing vibration. <P>SOLUTION: Inside ribs 31 of a pair of end brackets 7, 9 are respectively fitted into core end portions 19a of a stator core 19. Outside ribs 33 of the pair of end brackets 7, 9 are respectively brought into contact against end surfaces 19b of the core end portions 19a of a yoke 23 of the stator core 19.
