<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool truck carrying device performing assembling operations not with the pace of a worker but with a necessary cycle time. <P>SOLUTION: A self-traveling carrying vehicle 1 is moved, a swinging-locking body 38 at the lower part of the vertically moving body 34 of a tool truck 6 is brought into contact with the upstream side end of a carrying device 8, and the swinging-locking body 38 is swing, and the vertically moving body 34 is raised when an AGV truck 4 is moved. The engagement of a member to be engaged 31 and an engaging member 36 is released, and the AGV truck 4 is disconnected from the tool truck 6. The swinging-locking body 38 is locked to the upper surface of the carrying device 8, the tool truck 6 is carried from the carrying device 8, and the AGV truck 4 is solely moved. Since the moving speed of the AGV truck 4 is higher than that of the tool truck 6 by the conveying device 8, the AGV truck 4 is stopped at the downstream side end of the conveying device 8 and stands ready.
