<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid fuel gasification apparatus having a simple and compact constitution that pyrolyzes a solid fuel into gases and efficiently steam-reforms pyrolyzed gases using a steam-reforming catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The solid fuel gasification apparatus has a pyrolysis region (11) of a solid fuel (F) where air supply is substantially shut off. Only high-temperature steam (HS) of 800°C or higher is fed to the pyrolysis region, and the solid fuel deposited or staying on a solid bed in the pyrolysis region is pyrolyzed with the high-temperature steam to generate pyrolyzed gases (P) in the pyrolysis region. A catalyst layer (21) of the steam-reforming catalyst communicated with the pyrolysis region is provided in a furnace body (10) forming the pyrolysis region, and the temperatures of the pyrolyzed gases and of steam flowing from the pyrolysis region to the catalyst layer are controlled by the flow rate and the temperature of the high-temperature steam fed into the pyrolysis region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
