PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detector capable of detecting a satisfactory resistance value by suppressing wear of a contact. SOLUTION: In the liquid level detector 1 including a substrate 2 having a fixed electrode 5 and a slider 4 having the contact 3 sliding on the fixed electrode 5, the contact 3 is formed of an alloy of copper-nickel-zinc. The contact 3 is plated with rhodium. The fixed electrode 5 includes at least silver palladium. A protective layer 9 containing at least ruthenium oxide is formed on the fixed electrode 5 on which the contact 3 slides. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
