PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of surely restricting particulate matters. SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine includes: a combustion chamber 18 in which air-fuel mixture of air and fuel can be burned; a fuel injection means 41 capable of injecting fuel into the combustion chamber 18, dividing into several times; and a control means 51 for setting the final injection time of divided injection in accelerating operation within a uniformity advancing period as a fuel injection period, in which uniformity of air and fuel of the air-fuel mixture can be advanced in comparison with a divided injection period in normal operation.
