PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer capable of reducing a manufacturing cost by standardizing a basic structure. SOLUTION: The silencer is provided with a case 21 composed of a cylinder body 21a and end plates 21b, 21c for blocking openings of the cylinder body 21a, separation plates 30 arranged in the case 21 composed of a longitudinal plate 30a and a side plate 30b, an inlet hole 22a for introducing gas to the case 21 and an outlet hole 23a for discharging the gas from the case 21. The separation plates 30 divide the case into two or more chambers 31 and at least two of the chambers 31 communicate with each other by communication holes 32 formed at the separation plates 30.
