PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutically acceptable, stable and preferably transparent composition for liquid filling hard shell capsules. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a pharmaceutically acceptable composition for liquid filling hard shell capsules comprising (a) 35-75 wt.% ibuprofen, (b) 1-10 wt.% alkali hydroxide and (c) an emulsifier which is a polyoxyethylene castor oil derivative in an amount of 10-40 wt.% mixed with 7-35 wt.% caprylic/capric triglycerides, based on total weight of the composition, wherein the molar ratio between alkali hydroxide (b) and ibuprofen (a) is from 0.1 to 0.5.
