PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat hollow fiber membrane module suppressing exfoliation of fixing resin, without enhancing bending strength of a housing itself. SOLUTION: The flat hollow fiber membrane module 1 includes: a bundle body 3 formed by bundling hollow fiber membranes 2 into a slender rectangular transection; the slender housing 4 with an end of the bundle inserted therein and fixing and holding it; a fixing resin part 7 for fixing ends of the respective hollow fiber membranes of the bundle inserted into an opening of the housing to each other and to an inner wall of the housing, with the open ends of the respective hollow membranes opened toward an inner space 5 for passing treating liquid in the housing, and sealing a space between the ends of the respective hollow fiber membranes and a space between the ends of the respective hollow fiber membranes and inner wall of the housing; and elastic bodies 9 extendedly disposed on an outer periphery of the fixing resin part along the longitudinal direction of the housing, the elastic bodies being bonded to the inner wall of the housing with bonding resin 8.
