<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely support the body of a walking trainee who is in need of training the walking and, when the walking trainee is about to lose a balance of the body in training, support the body and prevent the overturn without giving a damage to the walking trainee. <P>SOLUTION: This safety against overturning is provided in a walking support device, which has a support member lifting and supporting the trainee to a walking support device body for making the walking trainee train the walking and which prevents the overturn of the walking trainee, and includes a displacement part provided in the walking support device body side and, when the support member is connected, displaced along with the movement of the walking trainee, a brake applying a braking force to the support member, a detection part detecting or estimating collapse of the walking trainee's body based on the displacement state of the displacement part, and a braking force control part which controls the braking force applied from the brake to the support member based on the detection result of the detection part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
