<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the clogging of a filter, with respect to a technology for introducing air into an optical pickup device via the filter to release it from near an objective lens. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical pickup device, a part 63a of a lens holder 63 is allocated to a filter 75 a plurality of times by controlling a focus coil or a tracking coil.
