<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode-polymer electrolyte membrane assembly, where even if the solid polymer electrolyte membrane is a laminated structure by a plurality of membranes, there is no possibility that it becomes deteriorated due to damages, or the like, when it receives a wet cycle, and to provide a manufacturing method for the membrane assembly. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode-polymer electrolyte membrane assembly is provided with a solid polymer electrolyte membrane 4 and a fuel electrode 6 and an oxidant electrode 8 for pinching this solid polymer electrolyte membrane 4. The solid polymer electrolyte membrane 4 is a laminated structure of a polymer electrolyte membrane 2, of which the mechanical strength is reinforced by a reinforcing member, formed of a porous body having no conductivity and a polymer electrolyte membrane 3 which is not reinforced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
