<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device which includes excellent antireflection characteristic, a method for manufacturing thereof, a duplicate substrate for preparing the optical device and a method for manufacturing the duplicate substrate. <P>SOLUTION: On a base surface of the optical device 1, a large number of structures 3 comprising protruded parts or recessed parts are disposed with a fine pitch of a visible light wavelength or less. Each structure 3 includes an ellipse corn form or an ellipse corn trapezoidal form having gentle inclination at its top and gradually sharp inclination from its center part toward a bottom part and includes depth distribution. The duplicate substrate for preparing the optical device includes a large number of the structures comprising protruded parts or recessed parts with the fine pitch of the visible light wavelength or less on the surface of the substrate and the structure includes the depth distribution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
