PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining method and a machining device capable of forming a deformed cross-sectional part of rotational asymmetry on the end part of a cylindrical work by spinning. SOLUTION: The machining method includes the steps of: first relative driving (D1) to move a roller 2 in the direction to one opening end of a cylindrical work 1; second relative driving (D2) to move the roller 2 toward the inside of at least one part of the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical work 1 on an orthogonal plane (S) orthogonal to the moving direction of the roller in the first relative driving (D1) while the roller is relatively revolved once from the position where the roller is in contact with the end part of the cylindrical work; and rotational driving (R) to relatively rotate the roller around the cylindrical work while performing the second relative driving in a state that the roller is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical work. The first relative driving is continued while repeating the second relative driving and the rotational driving until the roller, starting from the contact point, reaches the one opening end of the cylindrical work. By repeating the above cycle of driving a plurality of times, a deformed cross-sectional part of rotational asymmetry is formed on the end part of the cylindrical work. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
