PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorption type heat pump capable of being miniaturized as a whole and improving cold extracting efficiency by eliminating the need of an external driving means or external energy for opening and closing a gate valve or the like. SOLUTION: An evaporator 4 is arranged on the whole width of a bottom, and a pair of adsorbers 2a, 2b and a condenser 3 are arranged in an upper position of an evaporation chamber. A pipe is extended in a vertical direction used as a heat exchanger 31, and the adsorbers are arranged in both right and left side positions of the condenser narrowed and provided as a vertical multitubular type. As gate valves V1, V2, flap valve types are provided not opening only in an opening opposite direction in an adsorber side, and are automatically opened by an internal pressure rise of the evaporation chamber 40 to supply water vapor to the adsorber of an adsorption process. Gate valves V3, V4 are composed in the same way to be automatically opened by internal pressure from the adsorber of a desorption process and supply water vapor to the condenser after desorption. Condensed water from the condenser is dropped into the evaporator via a float plug 7 opened by buoyancy. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
