PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-in-oil emulsified sunscreen cosmetic which contains (a) dimethyldiethylbenzalmalonate and (b) phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid, does not cause the crystallization of the phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid, and is extremely stable with the passage of time. SOLUTION: Provided is the water-in-oil type emulsified sunscreen cosmetic characterized by comprising 0.1 to 10 mass% of (a) the dimethyldiethylbenzalmalonate, 0.02 to 8 mass% of (b) the phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid, and (c) an neutralizing agent for the component (b), and having a water phase in an amount of ≤40 mass%.
