Provided is a machine tool which can perform efficiently multiface-machining on a long object to be worked in a saved space. A main spindle (45) to which a tool (T) is removably attached is turned about a vertical axis orthogonal to the central axis of the main spindle (45), and a work (W) is rotated about a horizontal axis orthogonal to the central axis of the main spindle (45) and the vertical axis.
