A tape cassette has a bonding tape (74) whereupon a thermally active adhesive is applied; a printing tape (17) having a printing surface to be printed; and a tape feeding roller (32) for transferring the printing tape (17) and the bonding tape (74). The tape cassette can be attached to and removed from the tape printing device. In a state where the tape cassette is attached to the tape printing device, the printing surface of the printing tape (17) and the thermally active adhesive on the bonding tape (74) are brought into contact with each other, in the downstream of a printing position in an output direction of the printing tape. In a state where the adhesive is not activated, the bonding tape (74) is not bonded on the printing tape (17) even when the bonding tape (74) and the printing tape (17) are brought into contact with each other.
