A knife gate valve is provided to prevent transferred material from leaking through the guide hole between the disk and the housing by pressing the disk to the housing. A knife gate valve comprises a leakage prevention unit(300) for preventing a transferred material leaks through a guide hole(120). The leakage prevention unit includes a pressing element(310) of annular shape having first and second parts and combined to rotate in a housing(100). When a disk(200) moves straight, the disk closes a through hole(110) and pushes the first part of the pressing element. As the pressing element is rotated by the disk, the second part of the pressing element raises or lowers the disk so that the disk is pressed onto the housing.
