<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a wearer to make a smooth lower limb flipping motion by the action of a power assisting mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The long lower limb prosthesis has long lower limb supporting members 5 and 5' supporting a patient's entire lower limbs, a hip joint module 1 supporting the right and left long lower limb supporting members 5 and 5' swingably around the central point of rotation of the wearer's virtual hip joint as the starting point, a trunk supporting mechanism 8 attached to the front end of the hip joint module 1 and holding the periphery of the wearer's abdomen, knee joint modules 2 and 2' provided around the knee joint portions of the long lower limb supporting members 5 and 5' and connecting the upper halves 51 and 51' and lower halves 52 and 52' relatively rotatably, foot joint modules 3 and 3' connecting footrests 6 and 6' provided at the lower ends of the long lower limb supporting members 5 and 5' and holding the wearer's feet to the long lower limb supporting members 5 and 5' relatively rotatably, and a control means 4 to control the actions of the joint modules 1, 2, and 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
