<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink composition the ink properties of which are not changed with time and is not separated with time, and which is discharged stably when used for printing on an inkjet printer and can give printed matter having excellent print quality. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous ink composition is composed of a pigment, water, an organic solvent, a resin and a silicone compound. The organic solvent comprises the glycol monoalkyl ether shown by general formula: HO-(X-O)n-R<SP>1</SP>or a mixture of the glycol monoalkyl ether shown by the general formula with the glycol dialkyl ether shown by general formula: R<SP>2</SP>O-(X-O)n-R<SP>1</SP>and accounts for 5-39 mass% of the aqueous ink composition. The silicone compound has a polyalkylene oxide structure in the molecule and ≥7 HLB. A composition obtained by removing the pigment and the resin from the aqueous ink composition has not a cloud point at 70°C or below. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
