<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new transportation system and its passenger management method for substantially preventing crossing of passengers one another on an outward route and an inward route in a vehicle traveling back and forth on the same route. <P>SOLUTION: In this new transportation system, a vehicle 15 is provided with doors 16A and 16B for an outward route and an inward route at the both sides of the vehicle 15, and the vehicle travels back and forth between a plurality of terminals 11 and 12. Platforms 13 and 14 for the outward route and the inward route installed so as to be separated from each other, a number-of-person detection sensor 18 for counting the number of persons who get in a vehicle and the number of persons who get off a vehicle in each platform, and a vehicle control device 20 for controlling the vehicle are provided at the vehicle stop location of each terminal. In the terminals where the outward route and the inward route are switched by the vehicle control device 20, the door for getting-off the vehicle is opened, and the total number of persons who get in the vehicle is compared with the total number of persons who get off the vehicle, and only when the total number is matched, the door for getting-off the vehicle is closed, and the door for getting-in the vehicle is opened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
