PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the probability of an erroneous report on a discrepancy of paper sizes capable of being generated depending on a parameter except the conveying speed of the paper, for example. SOLUTION: An image forming device includes an indication means, a selection means, a measuring means, and a determination means, for example. The indication means indicates whether the paper to be fed is a standard size paper or an infinite form paper. The selection means selects a determination condition for determining the discrepancy between the length in the conveying direction of the paper to be actually fed and the predetermined length in accordance with whether the standard size of the paper is indicated or the infinite form paper is indicated. The measuring means measures the length in the conveying direction of the paper to be fed. The determination means determines whether or not the length to be measured agrees with the predetermined length in accordance with the determination condition to be selected.
