<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing and separating by which even hardly culturable microorganisms that are difficult to culture and separate with a conventional culture medium can efficiently be proliferated. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for culturing the hardly culturable microorganisms, the hardly culturable microorganisms (hereinafter referred to as the hardly culturable microorganisms) existing in the natural world, and difficult to culture is attached to roots of sterile plants of the family Lemnaceae, culturing the microorganisms together with the sterile plants of the family Lemnaceae in a liquid culture medium, and then carrying out separation from the culture medium.
