PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster mounting device with high durability, which facilitates the mounting of a caster, and a pedestal. SOLUTION: This caster mounting device comprises: a jack nut 3, a nut 8 into which a male screw 24 of the caster 9 can be screwed, and a tubular support 4; the jack nut has a tubular support fixing portion 11 which can be fitted into one end of the support, and a nut storage portion 10, the one end of which continues into the support fixing portion; depressions 17 and projections 18 with constant regularity are formed on the surface of the support fixing portion; the nut storage portion is provided with a hole 14 which is opened at the other end thereof and the inner surface of which has a nut locking portion 15 in a cross-sectional shape approximately identical to a contour shape of a cross section orthogonal to the axial center of the nut; the support, into which the support fixing portion is fitted, is fixed to the support fixing portion by being caulked toward the depressions and projections of the support fixing portion from an outer peripheral side; and the nut is housed in the nut locking portion in such a manner as to be incapable of coming off.
