PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform speech recognition processing by a plurality of speech recognition devices directly selecting a plurality of speech files. SOLUTION: The speech recognition system 2000 checks whether a lock file during selection is stored in a storage device 400. When the lock file during selection is not stored in the storage device 400, the lock file during selection including its own device information is generated and transmitted to the storage device for storing, the lock file during selection is requested to the storage device, and it is verified whether its own device information is included in the received lock file during selection. When its own device information is included in the received lock file during selection, a speech file is selected, the lock file during selection in the storage device is deleted, the selected speech file is received, speech recognition is performed on the speech file, and speech recognition result information is transmitted to the storage device for storing.
