PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize appropriate correction to light fallout depending on an imaging condition. SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: a means for generating an image signal from an image formed on an imaging element by means of an optical unit; a means for correcting the phenomenon of light fallout caused by the optical unit for each of any pixels on the imaging element; a means for regulating a correction gain for correcting the light fallout, on the basis of characteristics associated with the coordinate position of the pixel on the imaging element; and a means for controlling the regulating operation of the means for regulating the gain, in accordance with the generating condition of the imaging signal by the signal generation means.
