PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having scanning signal lines that have low resistivity and excellent adhesiveness and can be formed at a low cost. SOLUTION: An active matrix type liquid crystal display device using thin film transistors is disclosed, in which a scanning signal line 2 is configured by successively layering a transparent conductive film 2A essentially comprising indium oxide, a metal oxide film 8, a copper alloy layer 2B containing the same metal element as the metal oxide film 8 and having a lower diffusion coefficient, and a pure copper film 2C having purity of not less than 99.5%.
