PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a devised method of giving power assistance suitable for a gravity railroad system. SOLUTION: In the gravity railroad system, only an upper-end station and its vicinity area are prepared with wires, while electric power is supplied to vehicles from their exterior. The vehicles travels by using the energy when necessary. Batteries or the like within the vehicles are charged between such times.
