The invention relates to an endoscopic stitching machine with a control unit (1) at the proximal end (2), a stitching head (3) with stitch-forming tools (4) at the distal end (5) and a shank (6) arranged between the proximal end (2) and the distal end (5), wherein transmission means (7) are provided in the shank (6) or on the shank (6), and wherein the control unit (1) produces, via the transmission means (7), the movements of the stitch-forming tools (4), which movements are required for the stitching operation. It is proposed that the shank (6) is of flexible configuration at least in some sections and, as a result, is bendable, and in that the transmission means (7) are of flexible configuration at least in some sections and, as a result, can follow a bending movement of the shank (6) during the stitching operation. |
