<p>Comparatively large section is extruded from a die, collected for size, pre-drawn and cooled in this form, then heated again completely and hot drawn by axial tension increased until the section comes down to the required size. It is next cooled in this form, pref. on an internal sizing mandrel and then post-strengthened on this mandrel preferably by shrinkage, and finally hardened by cooling.</p> |
