An operating head (30) for a tyre-removal machine (1), comprising a bead-separating member (22d,22e,23d,23e) and a bead-engaging member (30), is described. According to the invention, the bead-separating member comprises a first bead-separating member (22d,22e) rotatable about a first axis (22c) and a second bead-separating member (23d,23e) rotatable about a second axis (23c), the first axis (22c) and second axis (23c) converging at a point (24). The first axis and second axis are preferably coplanar. In an advantageous embodiment, the first axis and second axis converge on the axis of the rim. |
