<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that a pairing process can not be implemented if one peak signal obtained in a FM-CW mode is buried in a peak signal of the other target other than the intended target. <P>SOLUTION: A radar apparatus for alternately switching the FM-CW mode and a CW mode and detecting the target comprises: a means for detecting the peak signal from an up beat in the FM-CW mode, and detecting the peak signal from a down beat; a means for pairing the peak signal detected from the up beat with the peak signal detected from the down beat; and a means for searching a to-be-paired object of the peak signal which can not paired from the other beat based on a relative speed detected in the CW mode if there is the peak signal which can not be paired with the peak signal detected from one beat among the up beat and the down beat by the pairing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
