<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ride confirmation apparatus capable of obtaining ride confirmation information by which a process for calculating the fare of a vehicle used can be properly and easily performed for a user who uses a public transportation system. <P>SOLUTION: Every time an entrance detection apparatus 4a detects a user who has entered a station, entrance confirmation information about the user is reported via a station server 2 to a center server 1. Also, every time an exit detection apparatus 4b detects a user who has exited the station, exit confirmation information about the user is reported via the station server 2 to the center server 1. Further, the ride confirmation apparatus 3 reports ride confirmation information for confirmation of the user riding a train to the center server 1 via the station server 2.
