PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit capable of suppressing malfunctions of an apparatus. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display unit 100 is provided with a boosting circuit 6 for boosting a power voltage (PVDD) by means of clock signals (DCCLK and BDCCLK) and a liquid crystal driver IC3 for supplying the clock signal. A soft start period is configured so that during starting of the boosting circuit 6, at least either the power voltage (PVDD) or the voltage of the clock signals (DCCLK and BDCCLK) is lower than a voltage during an ordinary operation.
