PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver for vehicles and a broadcast receiving method for vehicles, capable of providing appropriate digital broadcast in which the direction of the face of an occupant is taken into consideration. SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver for vehicles having a front end 70 for receiving digital broadcast waves of a system for transmitting the digital broadcast with a plurality of hierarchies includes: a face direction determining ECU 30 for determining the direction of the face of the occupant of the vehicle; and a microcomputer 100 for selecting output broadcast to be output to a display of an output part 60 loaded on the vehicle from among the digital broadcasts transmitted with the hierarchies of the digital broadcast waves received by the front end 70 according to the determination result of the face direction determining ECU 30.
